MotionMasters announces new documentary
September 12, 2006 by Motion Masters

The 75th anniversary of the completion of West Virginia’s magnificent state Capitol will be observed in 2007. Given the recent completion of its stunning gold dome, and the restoration work that is under way, there is no better time to produce the FIRST documentary about our Capitol’s history.
There’s so much history to tell – about the “floating Capitol” that drifted between Wheeling and Charleston, about the building on Capitol Street that burned to the ground, about the steely political negotiations as to where the fifth, and final, Capitol building would be built. And then, there’s the story of the renowned architect who designed our magnificent structure – and the frugal Legislature that demanded it be built on a “pay-as-you-go” basis.
It’s an interesting project, and long overdue! MotionMasters is pleased to be a part of it!

Indeed this is a great story and no one better to tell it.
The fact that our capitol building has moved and the cost of the construction of our capitol now (CHEAP) and other facts are often not known. I look forward to this one.
Oh yeah and one more thought, I love the story of the rotunda chandelier how many crystals are in it and how often it gets lowered for cleaning!
